SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 37

Recognizing the outstanding public service of hospital volunteers.

Whereas, Hospital volunteers contribute much to society
through their active involvement in the daily management of
hospitals throughout the state; and

Whereas, Hospital volunteers perform myriad vital hospital
duties that assist the hospital medical staff, patients, patients'
families and visitors; and

Whereas, Hospital volunteers contribute thousands of hours to
hospitals which allow medical staff to tend to the urgent care of
patients; and

Whereas, Hospital volunteers staff such areas as the hospital
information desks, surgery waiting areas and hospital gift shops;
therefore, be it

Resolved by the Senate:

That the Senate hereby recognizes the outstanding public
contribution of hospital volunteers who donate thousands of hours
for the well-being of our citizens; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward
a copy of this resolution to the representatives of hospital
volunteer organizations.
